Derby High School year 9 pupils rose to the challenge at Holy Cross College, as they participated in an array of fascinating activities, immersing themselves in the Science Challenge Day 2017. Working in teams, consisting of a mix of Bury high schools, the students put a huge amount of effort into each of the activities.
Whether it was doing the medical workshop, the intriguing E Fit session, building a vehicle or moving the robot, their enthusiasm was evident for all to see. Despite none of The Derby being on the winning team they were thrilled to be part of the day.
Out of all The Derby students Khalid Amasa was singled out for an award for best effort. This was a great opportunity for the students to work with other schools and extend their knowledge of science.
